Today I have been reading a book. Sort of. It's by a group called the Icarus Project and it's about the things I deal with.

I wrote down a bunch of notes, initially just to keep them and read them later. Then I did. Then, I felt like expanding and making something with them.

These are not all my words, but more an arrangement and collaboration between text in the book and what I made up as I went.

I'm sorry if you don't understand this. I just feel like expressing and being OK with it.

It's called Life Full of Possibility. god, im fucking arrogant. i can't believe that I'm even titling this tripe.

I make my maps out of colors and sounds
I take my shoes off to feel the ground
the soaring moments like eyes full of horizon
contoured heart is the outline of rocky sunrise
fractal branches of threads understanding

this man was supposed to heal me
the slashes where you watch should go
are nasty habits for girls like me
because they leave scars

he was supposed to have the healing magic key
he was supposed to be my hope
my up-side out of sideways

i wanted to kick his ass

at least
it was a relief
it was not because i was weak
countering mine and my fathers pointed index
scrutiny was now my own

feeling as though everything that these eyes have seen
this heart has felt
has been merely a fabrication of lunacy
i will not accept.

Feelings real
eyes peeled
you cant take that away
nononononononono, nor will i let you.

these reductive words are not the blueprint to my soul
they're the nearest and faultiest approximation
to a soul not understood by doctah, doctah, mister this mister that
i trust you just about as far as i can throw you
this all seems a ridiculous approach to your acceptance of me.

I guess that's all I have to say today. I'm cancelling my AU plan, and gonna get a prepaid in the event I decide to leave, I won't be leaving anything behind unpaid.

I was working sort of hard in the my mothers garden today. I woke up after sleeping for a long time, checked the internet and had a smoky breakfast sans coffee. I pulled weeds with my hands, and put them into plastic bags usually reserved for trash. I don't think the weeds are trash. Somebody else does, so I have to conform.

I also listened to music today, and tonight I want to play some of it. I wonder if anyone will listen to me. I usually try not to worry about that, because I'm not that good at playing music yet.

I have been thinking about a lot of things today, because when my mouth is closed I can listen to what my head or to what other people think. It's therapeutic.

I decided that I want to study music now. After a long period of time where I thought I knew how to play music; I want to learn now. I guess I'm going to study audio engineering, because the last time I attended school, I got kicked out. I have to prove that my brain learns things before I can learn what I actually want to learn, which is how to dance.

It's so funny because I thought the insanity was over when I wrote my last post. I was mistaken. Insanity came back in the form of a person, and it allowed me to experience once more what it's like. Now, I'm under strict stipulations as a result of how I spent the last few days of my life. But, I feel much more free now. Hallelujah! Jah, Rastafari!

I really want to go and hang out with my friends tonight, but I'm not sure that I'm ready. I guess I will see if I'm ready by last train. I probably will not be ready, but what do I know?

A lot of good tracks today. I was listening to a song about mistakes. Apparently, everybody makes them, but I'm really not sold on the idea yet.

a few too many things

has these past few weeks been as insane as I think they have been? Am I making all of this up? Please tell me that this has all been a dream and that I can wake up and be a normal, functioning human being again.

For those in the dark, I spent the last week or so at my family's cabin in Nagano. It was a brilliant time with friends and family, and I got a lot of work done. I need to get to chopping some wood for the fireplace next time I'm up there. It's going to be a long winter. I can already feel it.

I've been spending a lot time playing music, which is probably the best decision I've made in a while. Now that I'm back in the city, I should get back to DJing. I miss it so much that it hurts in my heart.

I've been listening to loads of really great new tracks which you can stay updated on by checking my facebook profile. I want to get some server space for this blog, but until then

I have a few new projects in the works that have been on the back burner for aforementioned reasons. DOMO ARIGATO Vol. 5, along with my own music projects that will be dropping whenever me and Katsuya Nakanishi get a chance to write something for you.

In the meantime, rest assured. I love you and follow through is everything.

The typhoon passed yesterday. I went out to meet with Image and before I had gotten to my station my brand new denim were soaked all the way up to the pockets. I was flustered, running 10 minutes behind schedule. Anyways, I made it in time after a few mad-dash sprints up stairs and across platforms. I'm hearing back to today whether I'm gonna be picked up. Gotta make some motherfucking money sometime soon.

Anyways, the 'rents got back from the cabin today. So lame, gonna move out PRONTO. F this. Spent all morning/afternoon cleaning. I produced a lot of sweat.

Tonight, going to Hisaki's pad to get to work on DOMO ARIGATO Vol. 4, Colors. Gotta get some things nailed down yesterday. f.

I have not been able to upload recent photos yet. I have been working all day, but I will post them soon. Expect a lot of shadows. enough said.

Things for DOMO ARIGATO are in the works. T-shirt designs will be selected, Flyers printed, then I can start doing promotion. Gotta get all the people I love to come to the party and rock out with my friends Anathallo. They are coming to Japan from Chicago after completeing the European leg of their most recent tour, behind their new album "Canopy Glow," released in the Japan on 5 November by Moor Works.

Please check out their music. They have been going at it for a LONG time. After eighteen U.S. tours, I am quite convinced they know what their doing. Allow them to rock your socks off.

This week, eh? This week, you ask? Well, a lot of working and moving in new directions. Stumbling on habits of days gone by, triumph of piano lessons and a social studies teacher who wished on your split ends.

I'm going to California in December. Figuring out the dates and what exactly it is that I want to do while I'm in California has proved to be the most difficult task. I am thinking New Years Eve in LA? Suggestions are suggested.

I'm going to work on some recording while I'm in Turlock, which will be awesome. Also, I'm going to start a project of interviewing and documenting my grandparents who I've never really gotten to know that well. In the autumn of their lives, I'm yearning to catch a few falling leaves to keep with me forever.

As you may be able to tell, I'm feeling a bit melancholy. The sunlight refracting at this angle has that effect.

I shot with Keiichi Nitta again yesterday. I overslept... I feel bad about that, but I think the photos are going to turn out really well. He's a gangsta, like, the good kind.

I had lunch today with my parents at the park hyatt's New York Grill. There's nothing quite like dining on the best shit around while looking down on Tokyo. It was raining, but still it was enjoyable. I saw a building that was on fire in the distance.

I'm working on putting together the first "Domo Arigatou" party that I've been planning for a while. The mascot of the party is gonna be "Mr. Roboto." I'm pretty stoked. Who should I get to DJ? Kenta is already on the hook, so be ready for some banging Reggae.

I slept for like 24 hours yesterday. I have really needed to sleep for like a day, for a WHILE. Thanks sticking with me here. Yesterday, I slept through 10 minutes of band practice, and tried to get in touch with Brian Sanders. I think he was pissed at me cuz I missed 4 calls from him. I have been late b4... I deserved it. He is such a great guy, but i lost his trust again. I will try harder.
Anyways, my iPod has been saving my life. I love this baby.

I shot with Keiichi yesterday. He's always got good energy to feed off of for shoots. I think I can do better as far as energy goes, I think just because I've seen how he does it, and HE's good.

After the shoot went to 事務所　for a chat with the kids... they are TOO nice to me. hot damn. I'm a lucky sum-bitch.

Spent a while updating and reading blogs. I partied at Varium last night. So many cute girls, and good friends. I had a fucking BLAST. They want me to DJ with them in December, so I've got to work really hard to get a good set list together for them. Varium got Kap10kurt to play here b4 any1 even knew about them. they've got kap10kurt playing for them in February, so I'm hoping to massage these connex to get to hang out with the KAP10's. SO COOL.

The weather is fucking beautiful today. I'm gonna go outside now and take some photos.

I'm just winding down from about 20 hrs. of work today. It turns out we went to Tochigi, not Gunma as I was told. The air was SO different out there. I can't wait to be in the mountains for a few days next week to breathe some real air.

It was a pretty hard decision to make, since I'm not one to follow trends all that easily. But, I think this trend is a pretty goddamn good one to follow.

You know, I'm really stuck on Rilo Kiley right now. I think they're really great. Their newest release "More Adventurous" is so good. Unabashed truth and expression. I really can't put my finger on what makes their sound and lyrics so appealing to me. But, I like it nonetheless.

So, I submitted my request to get out via the Early Transition Program yesterday. I've trusted my instincts in regards to my previous four attempts at getting out early, and they've proved me wrong. So, I'm going to try not to get my hopes up in this regard quite yet. We'll see what happens.

Work has become so unbearable. Everyone knows it, too. I think people feel genuine pity for me. Sitting here in this cubicle. Writing stories... taking pictures, everyone see how ridiculous it is that I'm here acting like I'm a journalist in the Navy when my mind is so far away from everything here. There are actually a few people that have this disdain for me because I'm authorized to wear the uniform of the United States Navy. My mere donning of this uniform is a disgrace to it, apparently. You know what I need? I need to be assigned to dig dirt or something really menial for the remainder of my time in the military. I really shouldn't be put in a position where I have actual responsibility.

So, the Kitty Hawk left today. Again. But, this time they're leaving for about a month and a half or so. They're going to Hong Kong and somewhere else, I think. It'll be nice to have a change of pace for them and for me. I think the change will be almost as drastic for me, but the only difference is that I can go out on the weekends.

I don't know, I feel like I should be doing something productive. I could go workout at night, but all I really want to do is to play music. I've been thinking about trying to play shows with some local people, just to be able to get up and perform. Mom said her friend was interested in playing with me, so I'll probably email her. I'm scared on one hand because her style might be really different than mine. It would just be horrible to have to play really bad music and be sort of stuck in that situation at least until Raul comes back. But, I just really have to keep playing and getting better.

There are people in my office right now playing really bad music. I was listening to my iPod, but this crap is drowning out Joanna Newsom, so I had to turn my music off. I can't stand to have great music drowned out. It's either prevalent or not at all. It's disrespectful to good music to have something else playing louder than it. God, I think they just started the song over. I think I'm going to start deteriorating pretty soon. These people have no respect. Heathens.

Surprisingly enough, I made it through yesterday with most of my sanity. Work sucked. When doesn't it? Raul came back to Yokosuka in the afternoon and I had dinner and beer with him. We talked for a while.

Woh, I was just interrupted by an email announcing the FY-05 Early Transition Program!!! I applied for this last year when I turned out to be ineligible, but this year man.... I'm stoked. This could really happen. As far as I can tell, it's the exact same thing as what was issued last year, and the two things that made me ineligible were my pending extension and the DoD tour-length requirement. Now, both of those issues are in accordance with what was the message specifies. Ho, man.... I'm about to cry. I'm going to go to the career counselors office this morning and get this moving. You'll hear more about this again soon, I'm sure. And all of this just a few days after my last request to seperate from the Navy was denied. God, this would make it the Fifth time that I've tried to get out of the Navy early. What ever means possible, besides getting kicked out......

Monday, Monday. Horrendous Monday. What an outrageous weekend. I got off of work Friday afternoon and met up with Raul in Roppongi where he's staying at Kasia's apartment. Raul met Kasia, a model working here from Poland, last summer and they've been in touch since then. So, I met up with Raul, and then Kasia came and met up with us while we were at Lexington. At around 1:30 A.M. or so we went to Feria. It's at about that time every Friday or Saturday night that it just gets way to crowded in Lex to even want to be there anymore. So, Feria Ho! Feria was good. The D.J.'s were playing way too much of the same music. I think they played that Usher song like 5 times, and Seven Nation Army once... There are at least three girls at Feria who want me, which causes a little problem when they're all there at the same time. So, Friday night. Not too exciting. Met up with Charlie that night, which was interesting. I don't think I'll see him for a while now. I hopped on the train pretty early (around 5:30 A.M. or so) and got back to Yokosuka a little after 7.

I was able to sleep until 2:40 and then back on a bus to New Sanno to shoot the Supply Corps Ball. These sort of events are like nails on a chalk-board for me. It was a bad time all in all, but I made it out of there around 11:00 and met up with Raul and Kasia at Lex. Same thing happened pretty much. Stayed at Lex and saw a few friends and left for Feria at 1:30. There weren't as many people at Feria as Friday night, but the girls who I knew were all there in force. It was fun, the girls took turns dancing with me. It was very organized, except the girl that I really wanted to get to know better was less aggressive than the girl who I was not as interested in. Such is life. I got pretty tired, understandably. But, I had a lot of fun. We didn't leave Feria until about 6:30. Said good bye to Raul and Kasia at the station and got back to Yokosuka around 8. I got back and literally collapsed into bed. I woke up a few times during the day. The first time I tried to get up was for dinner at 5:20. Unsuccessful. Second time around 9, to go get something to eat at the exchange. Unsuccessful. I ended up sleeping for about 20 straight hours yesterday and woke up this morning at 5:45 to get my first meal in a few days. I'm still way out of it. My body is slowly acclimatizing itself to a conscious state. It'll be a few more hours till I'm fully awake.

Now, I'm severely under-prepared to be at work. Oh man. It's going to be another one of those weeks.
